Buzz: the talker.
A Robosen Buzz Lightyear with a voice of his own.
- Hears “Hey Buzz” and answers in his own voice, mouth moving along.
- Knows 209 film lines by heart, and can say anything else too.
- Flips the lights and tells you how warm it is.
Home robot crew · Day 1

An XLeRobot: two robot arms, a camera head and a spinning lidar on a white three-shelf cart.
Built, tested and kept honest by one human at home.
The label on the back of the crew. Skim it for a smile, read it for the part names.

He listens, thinks and answers in a voice of his own.
Armzz turns its head to the spot you name.
Buzz checks the cameras and remembers where things were last seen.
He learns your voice when you ask, and doesn’t answer the TV.
Ask “What have you been up to?” and get a real answer.
At home, their thoughts and decisions play live on a little wall tablet.
hears his name
turns speech into text
writes his answer
says it out loud
moves along
All on computers in the house. No cloud.
A spinning laser measures everything around the cart, ten times a second, out to 12 metres. Slice by slice, it becomes a map.
A simulated scan of a made-up room.
Right now at home: …
From ten at night to eight in the morning they’re asleep, and Buzz keeps his thoughts to himself.
First words over Bluetooth
Armzz rolls
A life of their own
A new brain
Thoughts, feelings and curiosity
“Look at the door”
A desk of their own
Baby pictures. Robot edition.
Day 31. The cart gets its own power.
A voice from off-panel:Just a few more wires…
The cart gets a power system of its own, built on the bench. “Just a few wires,” they said.
A heart smaller than a stamp.
Armzz:That’s it? That’s my heart?
Smaller than a stamp. It turns big power into robot-sized sips.
Armzz:Why am I covered in stickers?
So three cameras can see where every joint really is.
Square stickers all over the arms, so three cameras can tell where each joint really is.
Too late. Every arm move gets filmed and checked.
Armzz:No photos, please!
A camera on a tripod films every arm move, so the crew can check its own work.
Buzz:You’re taller than I expected.
Buzz, eye to wheel with the cart. Verdict: tall.
Day 40. The big stretch.
Buzz:Hold it… hold it… three whole minutes!
Both arms up, held for three minutes. Buzz supervises from up high.
To be continued…
Not for sale, and already five stars. We made these up.
